Grant Tours
Across the country, 81 Toys“R”Us Canada stores were recently visited by their local hospital to accept a $2,000 donation to benefit pediatric patients within their communities. Whether these generous grants will be used for music therapy or distractive toys, the donations will go towards supporting the immediate needs of hospitals and will go a long way in helping children find a piece of relief during stressful hospital stays.
The 14th Limited Collectible Starlight Bear
Each year, Starlight Canada selects a special child from our many in and out-of-hospital programs to design a unique collectible bear with Toys”R”Us Canada. Designed by 5-year-old Noah who lives with several congenital heart defects (CHDs), Sunshine was inspired by Noah’s radiant personality, much like the sun! The purple bow and paw accents symbolize her favourite colour, and even match Noah’s speaking valve on her trachea. A lover of hearts due to Noah’s many CHD diagnoses, Sunshine’s heart patch represents all the obstacles that this shining young girl has overcome.
Available in-store and online, proceeds from the sale of Sunshine will continue to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families, just like Noah’s.

Herb’s Secret Santa With Toys“R”Us Canada
The fun doesn’t stop there! To spread the holiday spirit, Toys“R”Us Canada is hosting 11 private VIP shopping sprees for over 500 Starlight families in stores across the country. This unique event will give seriously ill children and their loved ones a chance to come together and celebrate the holidays, while finding joy and comfort at a time they need it most. With gift cards in-hand for shopping, a visit from Santa Clause and his elves, and Mega Play From Home Packs filled with even more toys and games to take home, sick kids and their families are sure to feel the magic of the season.
