Between hospital visits and medical treatments, the holidays can be a very stressful time for families caring for a seriously ill child. The Ardene Foundation understands the need for extra comfort during this time of year, and now in their 9th year of partnership with Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada, they are once again spreading the holiday cheer to families across the country.
In the spirit of giving, you can join the Ardene Foundation’s dedicated staff and customers in brightening the lives of Starlight families – from hospital to home. Until January 7, 2024, while shopping for the things you love at Ardene, you can spread the love by making a donation to Starlight Canada. All donations made at checkout in store or online will support seriously ill children and hospitals in your community.
In 2023, the Ardene Foundation has already created thousands of smiles beyond their store walls.
Sponsored by the Ardene Foundation, an incredible 55 Play From Hospital Shipments recently made their way to 37 hospitals nationally. These special shipments filled with toys and activities will bring much-needed comfort to pediatric patients fighting the stresses of hospitalization just in time for the holidays.
Adding to their efforts, 33 Starlight Nintendo Switch Handhelds and 4 Starlight VR units found homes in 27 pediatric units across the country, all thanks to the Ardene Foundation. Recently presented to hospital staff at their local Ardene stores, these gaming units loaded with hours of entertainment will provide distraction and encourage play for children while in their hospital rooms.
The Ardene Foundation’s heartwarming dedication doesn’t stop there. As a national sponsor for Starlight Great Escapes Wishes, the Ardene Foundation has helped create countless of experiences for Starlight families to enjoy, all year round. From sponsoring adrenaline-filled Motomax adventures to volunteering their time to pack over 1,600 Halloween goodie bags and participating in Starlight Canada’s Trick or Suite events, the support of the Ardene Foundation is felt in the hearts of many across Canada.
